Portugal and other stories

John was a great uncle to have. He was always kind and caring with a great sense of humour.  He certainly needed those qualities when he gave me my first (and last) driving lesson! As children, our Christmas parties were always fun, with John and Peter on makeshift instruments and Caroline, Alison and I preparing for our 'show' all evening for the poor long suffering audience.

We all had a lovely holiday in Portugal in 1985 which is in typical 'Peters' style involved endless races and competitions in the pool.

John's creative talents shone through and he made the most amazing trolley filled with building bricks for our son Nicky, each individual brick was carefully painted on all sides.  It has been enjoyed by all of our children and now our granddaughter, Sofia, loves playing with them.

John and June will always be warmly remembered.
